ACO Collective, the Australian Chamber Orchestra’s acclaimed ensemble, unites ACO musicians with Australia’s finest young string players, mentoring and touring since 2007. J.S. Bach’s Violin Sonata No.2 in A minor, celebrated for its clarity and invention, is presented in a sweeping arrangement for 17‑piece string orchestra under the direction of ACO Principal Violin Satu Vänskä. Arvo Pärt’s Fratres follows, oscillating between frenetic energy and sublime stillness. The program culminates with Brahms’s radiant String Sextet in G major, Op.36. Together, these works affirm ACO Collective’s trailblazing artistry and showcase chamber music at its most sumptuous.
